This Wednesday, December 5th at 6:00pm, Writer/Artist Jonathan Luna (Sword, Girls) will be appearing at Jim Hanley’s Universe in Manhattan for an exclusive in-store signing!

To participate in the event you must purchase a copy of his new all-ages graphic novel Star Bright and the Looking Glass. Every purchase of the book will come with an exclusive JHU bookplate made specifically for the event that customers may get autographed at the signing. Since 1985, Jim Hanley’s Universe has been proud to call Staten Island our home. It is not only the birthplace of this particular comic chain, it is also the home to many of our staff and managers.

And it is one of the places hit hardest by Hurricane Sandy.

That said, we are happy to announce that Jim Hanley’s Universe in Manhattan will be open 10:00 am to 9:00 pm daily with this week’s new comics! We expect to return to normal operating hours in Manhattan by midweek.

Staten Island Update for November 3! JHU in New Dorp Staten Island is now back to normal operating hours, open every day from Noon to 9:00pm!

And while power has been restored to most of NYC, our offer still stands: bring your electronic device to either JHU Location and we’ll gladly charge it for you while you shop!

Gaming at both JHU Locations for Thursday 11/1 and Friday 11/2 is cancelled. Gaming at JHU New Dorp for Sunday 11/4 is back on!
